Peter Trommler: Biographical Information

Professor Trommler is a professor in the Faculty of Computer Science at Georg-Simon-Ohm University Nuremberg (FH) since 2003. He manages the Laboratory of Network Technology and jointly with Professor Roth the Laboratory for Pervasive Computing.

Professor Trommler's research interests are computer security, computer communication, smart cards, and secure software engineering.

Prior to joining Ohm-University Dr. Trommler spent four years at the IBM Zurich Research Lab as a pre-doctoral candidate, two years at a Zurich Kantonalbank  as a senior application developer, and two years at Siemens Corporate Technology in the Information Security department as a senior consultant.

He is a founding member and vice president of ISSECO the "International Secure Software Engineering Council" and Member of the Association for Computing Machinery.

He received a degree in Computer Science from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1995 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Zurich in 1999.
