Oct. 2015: Previous work which I did at IBM Research has been awarded with the ACM SIGPLAN - Most Influential OOPSLA Paper Award. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have worked with my former colleagues Philippe Charles, Christian Grothoff, Vijay Saraswat, Christopher Donawa, Allan Kielstra, Kemal Ebcioglu, and Vivek Sarkar who share this award.
Feb. 2012: Students nominated me for the Excellence in Teaching Award. I am very grateful to them.
Oct./Nov. 2011: Lectures in the Academic Training Program at CERN on Advanced Multiprocessor Programming.
Aug. 1-5, 2011: Summer academy at our department. This year's topic is "Parallel Systems". Here is the announcement and poster.
Nov. 9, 2010: Our Campus Journal features an article about our efforts to make our department greener.
Jul. 9, 2010: I will be the associate department chair starting in October 2010.

Research and Past Projects

I am interested in software technology in particular software correctness and security, program analysis, and parallel programming. My recent work focusses on web technologies, in particular the analysis and refactoring of webpages, behavioral tracking on the web, and the assessment and control of information flows in a webbrowser.
